The executive Council meetings are open to all members, though voting rights are reserved for council members.
What is the Executive Council?
The Executive Council is tasked with formulating, reviewing, and voting on policy and actions brought forward by the general membership or the Executive Board, as well as supporting the work being done by our caucuses and committees.
Who is a council member?
The Executive Council consists of all Officers (except the Trustees), committee and caucus chairs, departmental stewards, delegates to the Ottawa-District Labour Council, delegates to the Ottawa CUPE District Council, the Personal Safety Officer, Human Rights Officer, and the Health and Safety Representatives from each Unit.
