The Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities has developed an updated Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities Policy that reinforces Carleton University’s accessibility commitments and obligations. We would like to meet with Unit 2 members to gather feedback on the draft policy and develop a formal response on behalf of contract instructors. We will be meeting Wednesday June 3rd at 12:30 pm at this zoom link. We will also be developing a survey for Contract Instructors, keep an eye out for the survey link in your email in the next few weeks.
This meeting will re-inaugurate CUPE 4600’s Gender Equity Caucus for 2026. This first meeting will be fully online due to summer availability, but we hope to have hybrid meetings going forward. During this hour, we will prioritize electing a chair and discussing member concerns relating to gender equity, such as providing free child care during union meetings.
