The next Unit 2 caucus will take place in 482 MacOdrum Library on Wednesday, October 8, 6:30-8:00pm.
In this meeting, we hope to share the latest Union news (including news about Bargaining), to learn from each other regarding what’s going on in our various academic units, to hold elections for departmental stewards, and to connect you with ways to get involved in in the Union, especially in support of Bargaining. Bargaining is the most important thing we do as a Union and presents the greatest opportunity we have to bring about real, substantive change in our working conditions. As a result, there will a number of opportunities for membership involvement.
Food and refreshments will be served.

Join your fellow union members for an update from your bargaining team about how negotiations are going and which members’ priorities have moved at the bargaining table. This will be an opportunity to learn about the bargaining process, what to expect in the coming weeks and months, and to prepare the membership for a potential “strike vote” this fall.
Not sure how negotiations work or what a strike vote is? Check out the FAQ that your union has created at the bottom of our bargaining page and bring your questions to the bargaining townhall.
Unit 1 (TAs/RAs) will meet on Zoom from 6-7pm and Unit 2 (CIs) will follow from 7-8pm. Members must register to attend so that we can assure all who are in attendance are members in good standing.
